Night Sail 
Kawau Island

DEPARTURE Depart approx 1900 hrs (7.00pm) and head out into the Waitemata Harbour. Who knows what we will see next.

Do you know the way?
Do you know the Navigation Lights.
Can you see the other boats.
Will the moonlight light up the water.
Navigate on Motuketekete light. Then use Martello Rock light.
Pass through South Passage.
Past Beehive Island.

After all that we round into Bon Accord Harbour and drop anchor in  Mansion House Bay and finally relax. Sip a warm drink and enjoy the rest of the evening. Enjoy listening to some of the nocturnal birdlife ashore then retire below with the splendure.

DAY 1 In the morning  we can go ashore an after a short walk to the top of the Island look back on last nights evening passage through the passage and see the reef and rocks we missed.

Then its back to the yacht and off up to the other end of Bon Accord Harbour to visit the fish farm and see some wildlife in the small compound.

Once we are all back onboard its off to Vivian Bay for some lunch. Set sail around Rabbit Island down to Moturekareka Island and see the wreck of the REWA, the boat in John Wray's book "South Sea Vagabonds" (a New Zealand Classic Adventure of the Sea).

Time to look for the nights anchorage, maybe  Moturekareka Is, Mahurangi Harbour, Motuora Is, Motutara Island or back to Kawau Island.

DAY 2 In the morning we set sail for Tiritiri Matangi Island and go ashore to see some of New Zealand's rarest wildlife and walk the trails to experience some time in the bush. sit down on one of the many benches provided and enjoy the environment.

Sorry but we do have to get you back to base for the return transport, but you are most welcome to book on one of our other varied passages.
